How to deal with Islam?

Islamic-history1.sized-770x415xtIndia under Aurangzeb

Since it’s inception, Islam has caused killing of 670 million people, by conservative estimates (for reference, please see https://themuslimissue.wordpress.com/2015/06/15/muslims-have-killed-over-590-million-non-muslims-since-the-birth-of-mohammed/ ). However, if the writing of Muslim historian Firishta in either Tarikh-i-Firishta or Gulshan-i-Ibrahim are to be considered, then the estimate of Hindus killed by Islamic terrorism needs to be revised from 80 million to 400 million. That takes Islamic onslaught’s death toll to nearly 900 million. Keep in mind that Buddhists did not keep a record of their dead due to Islamic onslaught. If reliable data is available from the Buddhist people, Islam’s “Achievement” could well cross “A Billion Killed”. All this in less than 1400 years. By all standards, this is an exceptionally violent ideology. We did not even mention the wanton destruction of cultures, and systematic erasing of history.

The below diagram depicts how, within a short time of its inception, Islamic Jihad spread to a wide area, bringing with it the savage destruction and terrorism that their prophet legitimized by his own behavior (Source: Raymond Ibrahim, P J Media)

If this was just history, we could have probably just learnt the history, and moved on. Unfortunately, this is not just history, this is not just past. Islamic Jihad, with all it’s gory slaughter, continues till date. News reports from 17th June (a day before this article is written) indicated that Jihadis in the Kashmir valley not only killed 5 jawans of the Indian security forces, but also mutilated the body parts. The danger from Islam is clear and present. We can not look the other way. We can only ignore Islam’s destructive potential at the cost of jeopardizing our children’s future. If we abdicate our responsibility today, our children and grandchildren will never forgive us. In the 1970’s, Beirut was known as the “Paris of the Middle-East”. In 2017, Paris is known as the “Middle East of Europe”, what with Islam mounting a frontal attack on the very idea of a liberal society that values art and culture.

This article discusses some tactics that we must use, if we are to succeed against worldwide war against Islam. This article is from the perspective of a Hindu Indian. This article does not intend to profess any sort of neutrality in this regard.

First, we need clarity. Borrowing from management concept, one can state that a problem can be resolved only after it can defined. There are large hearted people believing Islam can be reformed. This writer is of firm belief that Islam can not be reformed, it needs to be destroyed. Hindus did not reform the barbaric Sati custom, they eliminated it. Hindus are not reforming the custom of untouchability, they are eradicating it. You reform something when you can arrive at a more amenable, more civilized version of the brutal practice, so that you can coexist with it. Sati could not be transformed into a more humane practice. Untouchability can not be transformed into a moderate form. Either these customs stay, or Hindu society. Similarly, a religion that hold Muhammad of 7th Century as a fundamental role model, can not be reformed. When your “Perfect Man” is a desert bandit, rapist, mass murdered, pedophile, hallucinating narcissist, your religion is doomed. It can never be compatible with any humane value system. The sooner we define the nature of the Islamic problem, the better off will we be.

Second, we must not underestimate the importance of comprehensive military victory against Islam. By its very nature Islam is a complete political doctrine of subjugating “Kuffars”, and it stipulates the “Momin” to launch total warfare against the Kaffir population. In this total warfare, every form of deceit, terrorism, mass rape, wanton destruction of civilian population as was done in erstwhile Vijayanagar empire, are completely “Halal”. Candles, flowers and teddy bears to mourn the victims of Islamic Jihad may be nice sentiments, but those are not weapons enough to defeat Islam. A series of devastating, comprehensive, and mind-numbing military defeats, while not enough to destroy Islam by itself, will expedite the process. Charles Martel did more to stop Islam, by winning the battle of Tours, than all the candles, flowers and teddy bears that Europe can ever hope to assemble while mourning the dead of Jihad in her cities. Maratha and Sikh muscle power did more to defeat Islam and dishearten Ghazis in India, after India’s end appeared imminent during Aurangzeb’s tyranny. The below map shows Aurangzeb’s  empire, and one shudders to think that Hindus would have been completely wiped off the face of the earth within a short time, had the Marathas and Sikhs (not to forget less prominent but equally valiant local warriors) not militarily challenged the Ghazis. Every weapon, once invented, has been used in warfare. It’s the same with Nuclear weapons. Hindus must understand that being fooled by Gandhian moral of turning the other cheek when slapped will only result into the end of one of the most fantastic civilization and it’s billion people. When need arises, we must not dither from dropping Nuclear bomb on Rawalpindi or Riyadh. The key decision making factor is whether dropping Nuclear bombs on Rawalpindi or Riyadh will help us win the military war against Islam. The decision making factor should never be wooly headed Gandhian preaching. A constant and proactive military offensive must be maintained by India against the sword of Islam. As Shri Anang Pal Malik (author of “Corruption in India” and founder of “Center for Fundamental Freedom) never fails to point out, Islam expands by taking over “Kuffar” land, usurping “Kuffar” money, and subjugating “Kuffar” women. If the expansion is rolled back, Islam will hurtle towards collapse, because there is no equilibrium or status quo possible as far as Islam is concerned. Hence, from a purely Hindu perspective, Indian armed forces must constantly push the current borders of India towards the West by pushing Pakistan army back, and also, at the same time, reclaim the land currently known as “Bangladesh”. Armchair activist Hindus must understand this fundamental tactic of the warfare a Hindu nation must undertake against Islam, and invest into this warfare. In other words, put your money where your mouth is.

Third, spotlight on Islam must be on. As an ideology, it can not survive, if the spotlight is turned on it, for a sustained period, with appropriate intensity. An ideology that peddles lies such as one man alone, forever to come, has the exclusive right to communication channel between man and god, flies in the face of every conceivable logic and rational thought. An ideology that calls on believers to forcibly convert everyone to Islam, or kill everyone, can not be accepted as a civilized model code of behavior. An ideology, whose “Perfect Man” married a six years old child, can not be expected to do any good to civilization as such. An ideology, which enjoins the followers to kill “Kuffars” in their so-called sacred month can not be continued to prosper. However, as long as people do not know the intricacies of this ideology, it will continue to prosper. Every tea shop and every corner store of every neighborhood in the world must discuss the reality of Islam, must have the courage to criticize it. Recently, during the hearing on the Triple Talaq issue in the Supreme Court of India, the Islamist side had to clearly admit that this practice is retrograde, but they had asked for the community to be allowed to reform it at their own pace. The intense spotlight is making Islam defensive. Nationwide discussion on Triple Talaq has made it clear to the Indian people that Islamist want to continue with their retrograde ways. Islam wants to avoid exactly this spotlight. And this is what it must be subjected to. Quran and Hadith must be read by all, but not for the purpose of prayer. These books must be read, to know what Islam really is, from the proverbial “Horses mouth”.

Fourth, a clear differentiation must be made between Islam and Muslim. We must wean back the people, that is, the Muslims, from the clutch of this violent imperialist ideology. It’s not the Muslims that are our enemies. It is Islam that is the enemy. Here, another important understanding is needed. Muslims do not deserve sympathy. In spite of generations of them having been forcibly converted to Islam, uprooted from their own native cultures, and fed everyday with the toxic ideology, in spite of the female genital mutilation. This may sound very unfair. But in reality sympathy will not win this war. Sympathizing will amount to condoning their continued association with Islam, and this continued association of Muslims with Islam can not be supported. However, Muslims deserve empathy. We must understand how hard it is for them. We must look deep within us and remember that we have family, we have personal commitment, and it will be really hard if someone was to kill me for giving up on my faith publicly. Apostasy is punishable with death in Islam. Not everyone can be Taslima Nasreen, Ayan Hirsi Ali, Tarek Fatah, or Tufail Ahamed. It is not easy for the Muslims to leave Islam, with the sword of Islam constantly hanging over their head. Attack from outside will weaken Islam, but in the end, the Muslims must be weaned back sufficiently to break Islam’s stranglehold on its flock of sheep. Without empathizing with the Muslims, they can not be weaned back.

It’s war. Good luck!

Why has Bengali nationalism stumbled?

This inconsequential amateur writer has the good fortune of being born in the fabled land of Bengal, and also that of staying in other parts of our sacred motherland India. The writer has had the good fortune of listening to intellectual giants and seekers from both Bengal and other parts of India. One common question and discussion topic is that how did the patriotic Bengali people let their land come to this pass? How is it possible that the same people that had made the powerful British quake in their boots during the first few decades of 20th Century, is now allowing the Communists, Islamists and Trinamul Congress to lay this land to waste? How is it that the same people who had struck terror in the minds of the British rulers had let their land get divided in 1947, accompanied by most severe parade of killing, rape, and maiming? How did this same people almost forget the brutal Communist-led massacre and rape in Marichjhapi (refer to Shri Jaideep Mazumdar’s article in Swarajya Magazine – http://swarajya.quintype.io/politics/the-forgotten-story-of-the-marichjhapi-massacre-by-marxists )? What went wrong? The few paragraphs that follow do not contain much of original thought, however, they constitute an effort to look deep into this severe fall, and find out what happened. These paragraphs will not describe in detail the severe brutality unleashed on Bengal by the Islamists, British and Communists – many competent authors have done it. Neither is this write up an effort to write a social-media style concise history of Bengali struggles and the setbacks – many historians have written these elsewhere. The writer concentrates on one sole point – the unhinging of Bengali nationalism from the spiritual roots – and offers this as the single-most important reason why Bengali nationalism has stumbled, and this article only focuses on corroborating this point. This is not a scholarly effort, and does not intend to present a rich bibliography, but honestly acknowledges that several different sources have been consulted. To that extent, this article is a very narrow one, and makes no attempt at connecting giant sized dots of history. The article progresses in the form of a few steps, through which the key point is elaborated.

First, it is key to understand that the Bengali nationalism is one and the same as Indian nationalism. Swamy Vivekananda did not try to rejuvenate Bengali society only. Kshudiram went to gallows not for the sake of Bengal alone. Sannyasi rebels fought Islamists and British not for Bengal alone. Rash Bihari Bose tricked British and reached Japan, not for the sake of Bengal’s freedom alone. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose called for a march to Delhi, not just to Kolkata. Bengali nationalism has had the same overarching objective of the nationalism of Shivaji Maharaj, Guru Gorakhnath, Guruji Teg Bahadur, Guruji Govind Singh, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Subramanyam Bharti, Veer Savarkar, Chandrasekhar Azad, or Swamy Dayanand Saraswati.

Second, it is imperative to understand the unique position Indian nationalism has, in the history of nations. Indian nationalism is the only one alive that has the national territory or a people as one of its marker, but not as a defining marker. Let us examine a few examples to clearly understand this point. American nationalism was forged during the defining moments such as civil war or second world war, because primarily it holds a land given to the European settlers as the defining aspect. To this date, American people celebrate the “Thanksgiving” festival, based on this very concept. The historically aware Americans do clearly acknowledge that this land was captured by the European settlers, by marginalizing and massacring the native Americans. Perhaps alive to this narrow origin of American nationalism, thinkers such as Ralph Waldo Emerson or Henry David Thoreau had attempted, through their impactful writing, to expand the intellectual horizon of American people, and focussed on universal principles. They have been very successful, in generally weaving into the “American dream” these universal principles, and that intervention was important in formulating American nationalism as we know today. British nationalism was partly a response to ancient expansion of Roman empire, partly a result of resistance to later day Normans, and also partly a result of resistance to excesses of Catholic church. Overall, British nationalism considers the territory and a people as central to it’s existence. German nationalism was a manifestation of German national unification, an ugly face of that nationalism was manifested at the hands of the Nazis. Once again, a nationalism centrally dependant on sense of territory and a people. Japanese nationalism was, and still is, centrally dependant on the land that is considered to be sacred – the land of rising Sun, and a people’s cultural mooring. Overdependence on these central tenets can be dangerous, as was evident during Japanese brutalities during the second world war. Chinese nationalism, as shown by authors Claude Arpi and Arun Shourie in their separate books and articles (refer to “Tibet: The last frontier” by Claude Arpi; and “Self Deception: India’s China policies: Origin, premises, and lessons” by Arun Shourie), is deeply dependant on the military prowess of a powerful central regime. Whenever China has had strong central ruler, the nationalism quotient increased, and China expanded. How is Indian nationalism different? Does it not acknowledge territory? Does it not acknowledge people? It surely does. In the most ancient Shastras and Puranas, Indian territory is defined clearly. Even more practically, India’s countless pilgrimage circuits, followed by people over millennia, clearly lays out Indian territory in practical terms (refer to “India – a sacred geography” by Diana L Eck). More pertinent, Indian ancient texts clearly define Indian people too, simply the people who follow Sanatana Dharma. But the key difference starts from this point. Indian nationalism acknowledges territory and people, but is not dependant on these markers. The most direct evidence is found through an unfortunate indirect proof point. Note that while 1400 years before, present day Afghanistan was very much part of Indian civilization. Now that it is no longer part of India, does nothing to weaken Indian nationalism. In spite of knowing that we have lost territory such as Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh, Indian people voted in large number for a political party that promised nationalist governance in 2014. In spite of knowing that unification of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh with India may be very hard practically, Indian people rose up in their united support to the Indian Armed Forces after the despicable coward terrorist attack in Uri. Remember that 1400 years back, people in present day Pakistan were as much Indian as we are. We do not have them any longer in our project of nationalism. But the project of nationalism continues, to the extent that poor street side fruit vendor adapts to electronic payment systems, after hearing the clarion call given to them by a nationalist Prime Minister, who calls on the Indian people to accept hardship so that the corrupt world of black money can be disrupted. Loss of vast territory, and loss of well over several hundreds of million people during the last 1400 years, due to the brutality of Islamists, Portuguese, British and Communists, did not destroy Indian nationalism. Simply because Indian nationalism is not centrally founded on the concepts of territory and select people.

Now is the time to clearly spell out an important hypothesis that Indian nationalism is essentially a spiritual nationalism, a Dharmic nationalism. This writer will provide three categories of evidences to prove this hypothesis. First category is to cite authoritative text. Second category can be called “Positive evidence”, that is, to show when the desired triggers are there, desired effect is realized. Third category can be called “Negative evidence”, that is, to show when the desired triggers are absent, desired effect is also missing.

As authoritative text, this writer opts to cite Srimad Bhagvad Gita, which is possibly the most widely followed text in India. In the fourth chapter, Shri Krishna clearly states that he manifests in every era, when demonic forces wreak havoc and Dharma is in danger. To protect Dharma and to stamp out evil, the supreme soul descends in a mortal form, and leads struggle for right, against wrong. At a conceptual level, shorn of any regional, territorial, communal, and linguistic baggage, Indian nationalism is born of this universal principle. Hence, even when we lost significantly large territory and hundreds of million people, during the assault we have faced over the last one thousand and four hundred years, our nationalism is alive.

As a “Positive evidence”, this writer wishes to highlight the nationalist movements led, at different times, by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Guru Goving Singh ji, Swamy Vivekananda, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. As long as the clarity was there, as long as the bedrock of spiritual principles prevailed, these movements were able to defeat and push back, or at the very least strike terror in the hearts of the imperialist brutal powers.

As “Negative evidence”, this writer highlights the breakdown of Indian dream after India achieved independence, for six decades. When India achieved independence from British, Indian youth had all the hope in their heart. The dream of building a progressive nation, however, suffered a crushing blow, in the hands of the Nehruvian socialist state that was built up. This socialist state perfected the arts of pseudo secularism, corruption, patronage, mediocrity, treachery and perpetuated the crushing poverty. Nationalism was sought to be constructed from a platform of “Secularism”. The original concept of secularism was imported from Europe. In European context it had relevance, what with Church completely controlling the state machinery during the dark ages of Europe. Indian experience was completely different. Manu, against whom Indian communists lead massive propaganda warfare, had mandated that the Brahmans must live at subsistence level, not hanker after worldly pleasures, and strictly fulfil their responsibilities, which were to contribute to spiritual and intellectual uplifting of the nation. Even during Mahabharat, when a Brahman – Drona – assumed a mercenary role during the later part of his life, valuing gold from Duryodhana over Dharma, Kshatriya warriors eliminated him. Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s spiritual master Swami Ramdas extracted no worldly compensation from him. Guru Govind Singh ji focused on building the institution, via the Khalsa principles, so that after him, no spiritual leader of the Sikhs can degenerate into mercenary level and interfere in the governance. Nationalist Sikhs are to this day bound by the Khalsa principles, and have no need for an eleventh Guru. However, when godless secularism was promoted, the converts forgot the roots of Indian nationalism. As a result, the Union Government that ruled, nay, misruled, from 2004 to 2014 was the most corrupt government Independent India has seen.

The same trend can be seen vis-à-vis nationalism in Bengal.

Rishi Bankimchandra’s “Anondo Motth” can be considered the authoritative text of Bengali nationalism. This seminal work was inspired by Srimad Bhagvad Gita, like most other nationalist Indian literature. In “Anondo Motth”, we see our motherland being venerated as Indians have done since millennia, the sacred mother. Nationalism was clearly defined, which was to fight the Islamic Jihad and British imperialism.

When the key concepts of Bengali spiritual nationalism were upheld, Bengalis shook up the brutal forces. Sannyasi rebels fought against Islamic Jihadi forces and British tooth and nail. Santhals sacrificed all they had for their motherland. Barely a young man, Kshudiram Bose went to gallows with a smile on his face. Binoy, Badal and Dinesh attacked the seat of British power. “Master da” Surya Sen led his band of brave nationalists and fought against the British, among the fighters were Pritilata Waddedar and Kalpana Datta, supposedly “Weak Indian Women who required reservation”. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose led an Indian National Army of sixty thousands Indian soldiers, who managed to advance till Kohima, and took the sleep away from British. Retired Major General Gagan Deep Bakshi has consistently demonstrated in his books and articles how British left India not because of supposed non-violent movement, but because they were shaken by INA, they felt their most important arm for ruling India is, that is Indian army, is now slipping away from their grip. Interestingly, primary sources of Major General Gagan Deep Bakshi are all utterances and correspondence of high ranking contemporary British political heavyweights.

When the root of Bengali nationalism was violated, Bengali nationalism lost steam. Examples are far too many, and far too depressing. This writer will cite only a few.

First was the mass scale conversion of Hindu population in favour of Buddhism, during the early first millennium of Christian calendar. While we Bengali people rightly celebrate Atish Dipankar as illustrious son of Bengal, for his intellectual work of spreading Buddhist philosophy in places as far as Tibet, we sometimes underestimate the effect of Buddhism, especially in the Eastern part of Bengal (latert day East Pakistan, which subsequently became Bangladesh in 1971 largely due to Indian Armed forces momentous sacrifice). Buddhism, as spread by the state-sponsored mass proselytizing initiated by Ashoka, held non-violence at a dogmatic level, and swore by it. People, en masse, in places as diverse as Afghanistan, Tibet and East Bengal, gave up arms, took up prayer wheels. Such dogma never helps. In future, Afghanistan, Tibet and East Bengal were all devoured by predatory imperialist forces, such as Islam and Communism. While many regions in India fell before the sword of Islam, periodical regeneration of Hinduism also formed significant resistance against Islam, and the rule by Jihad was also pushed back in many regions of India. Unfortunately, regions almost completely Buddhist had no such regenerative influence, and Afghanistan, Kashmir valley or East Bengal could never push Islam back. En masse conversion of Hindu Bengali people into Buddhism was totally against what Dharma held, non-violence was never to be followed dogmatically in India. Even lord Shri Krishna threatened to kill Bheesma, when Arjuna was prevaricating, torn between his love for grandsire and sense of duty. This author recommends Shri Tathagata Roy’s book “My People, Uprooted: A Saga of the Hindus of Eastern Bengal”, where impact of this unfortunate en masse conversion into Buddhism is described in great details.

As the second example, this writer intends to highlight the increasingly muted or absent criticism of Islam by important Bengali leaders during the early parts of twentieth century. Important Bengali leaders from multiple walks of life contributed to Bengali nationalism. Entire Bengali Hindu population was moved by Shri Rabindranath Thakur’s patriotic songs. However, as far as criticism of Islam is concerned, Rabindranath was not very forthcoming. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose electrified not only Bengali people, but the entire Indian people. However, as far as criticism of Islam’s theological fundamentals are concerned, he was not very vocal. Did Rabindranath Thakur or Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose not know of what Islam represents? Did they not know that Islam mandates Muhammad’s life as a role model for all Muslims worldwide, in spite of Muhammad’s career of mass murder, rape and paedophilia? Did they not know that Islam recognizes no nationalism, rule of Allah all over the world is the supreme and non-negotiable goal of Islam? How was it possible, when Rishi Bankimchandra, Swamy Vivekananda, or novelist Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay knew? There is only one answer. In all likelihood, Rabindranath and Netaji Subhash knew what Islam represented, but they had to find tactical alliance in their fight against British. But this de-facto dilution of dangers represented by Islam had very disastrous impact. Rabindranath or Netaji Subhas were not the only ones who focused less on Islam’s destructive potential. Even the Charan poets of Bengal, who had made yeoman contribution to nationalist struggle, had misunderstood Islam’s destructive potential, to the extent of some of them actually supporting Ottoman Caliphate. Ottoman Caliphate was one of the most repressive and regressive regimes to have ever ruled on the planet earth, and when Khilafat agitation was started in India, Moplahs in Kerala led a pogrom of Hindus, for the sake of reinstatement of Caliphate in Turkey. As we can clearly see from the last 69 years of Independent India’s history, war imposed on India by Islam continues to devour Indian people, in the most brutal manner. Pakistan of present day, or Aurangzeb of 17th Century, are manifestations only. Real enemy is Islam. The more we ignore this, the more unprepared we will remain. Tactical alliance can never be a cause for overlooking Islam’s destructive theological influence. Millions of Bengali Hindus have paid for “Hindu Muslim Bhai Bhai” with the life, home, hearth, temples, and dignity of their women. Leaders of Bengali nationalist movement should not have overlooked Islam’s brutal record, or Islam’s poisoned chalice of an ideology. Their silence was dangerous. The Bengali Hindus had lost from their radar, the dangerous enemy they had to eventually face, in the form of Islam.

Are the Bengali people the only ones in the Indian history to have lost track of their nationalism? No. Even during Mahabharat, even after masterful exposition of Srimad Bhagvad Gita by Shri Krishna, Arjuna kept prevaricating when fighting against Drona. This was when Drona had given up all Brahman-like ideals, had become a mercenary, had hurled powerful divine weapons on common soldiers in complete contravention of the code of war. Even after masterful leadership of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Marathas did lose way. Even after supreme sacrifice of Guruji Teg Bahadur, and supremely inspired leadership of Guruji Govind Singh ji, the Sikhs did lose way. Unfortunately, in the history of an ancient nation like that of ours, Bengalis will not be the last community to have lost their way to their nationalism. Institution building is thus supremely important. An “United Spectrum of Hindu Vote”, as coined by Dr. Praveen Patil (of 5forty3.in ) can only be built on strong institutional foundation, and can’t depend on occasional brilliant leaders.

Will Bengali nationalism be never recovered? No, that’s incorrect. Cause for optimism is already seen. This writer will cite two examples. In February 2017, one 100,000 people assembled in Kolkata, from all parts of West Bengal, to commemorate annual foundation day of Hindu Samhati, an organization that works for Hindu unity. Many of the participant were attacked by the Jihadis on their way to Kolkata, but they did not back down. Ground level reports suggest that Mamata Bannerjee is already worried about this new found Hindu assertiveness. Articles written by Shri Rantideb Sengupta or Shri Mohit Ray, in the periodical journal “Deshbhokter Chithi” (“Letter from Patriot”) clearly demonstrate that Bengali Hindus are rising from their stupor. Hindus all over India have started to claim their civilization back. Bengali Hindus will not lag behind.

Hindu Polemical Point of View – Part 4

baal-samay-ravi-bhaksh-liyo

Hindus can not expect to defeat the joint assault of Islam, Christianity and Communism, without first and foremost focusing on three fundamental tasks. If we can not do these, all talk of Hindu unity and Hindu rejuvenation is just nonsense.

Task #1: Every Hindu – girl or boy, woman or man, old or young, poor or rich, illiterate or educated, salaried employee or business person, irrespective of region/caste/linguistic affinity – must build strength in her or his muscle. Weak physique can only produce an weak soul, an weak mind. There is no point in reciting Hanuman Chalisha 108 times a day, if we can not even make an attempt to emulate Hanuman ji’s devotion to strength. There is no point in celebrating Swamy Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, if we can listen to his fundamental clarion call of building strength.

Task #2: Every Hindu must contribute financially to organizations that further Hindu interests. We can stop talking about Hindu Rashtra, if all we want is to sit tight and expect Narendra Modi to all the hard lifting.

A list of organizations are provided below. The list is not exhaustive.

Please debunk the falsehood that Hinduism does not support proselytizing (please read late Swamy Chinmayananda’s commentary on Taittiriya Upanishad, where he has debunked the myth of Hinduism not supporting proselytizing). Work, o Hindus! Stop squandering your precious time and energy on petty squabbles and unimportant matters.

Hindu Polemical Point of View – Part 3

standupandfight

On 15th August 2016, during the course of his Independence day speech, Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to acknowledge that messages of thanks he has received from the oppressed people of Gilgit, Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir and Balochistan, and affirmed that the kind messages of these people are actually for the 1.25 billion Indian people.

A section of Hindu right wing has been lambasting Shri Modi for a while now, for what they perceive as too much accommodation of Pakistan, such as visiting Pakistan during Nawaz Shariff’s birthday, agreeing to talk to Pakistan even if the agenda is limited to terrorism only, sending foreign secretary to Pakistan for SAARC related matter, sending Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh to Pakistan recently, etc.

We Hindus can at times be too preoccupied with debate. While debate is healthy, too much of it can at times dilute the focus on the key objectives. This can be self-defeating, especially when the objective is complex and of far-reaching import. Our objective is to defeat Islam. It has to be done at multiple different planes, such as military, diplomatic, economic, intellectual, and above all, spiritual. It is the objective that matters. Not the tools. Pakistan carries on the brutal flag of Islam in the Indian subcontinent, and will not stop before it can convert or kill all Hindus. This is a fundamentally implacable foe. There will never be a peaceful coexistence with Pakistan. Islam defines Pakistan, and Hindus can not coexist peacefully with Islam. Defeating Islam is what is needed to defeat Pakistan. Every tool of warfare is acceptable, in so far as it enhances our chances of defeating Islam. Deception is a perfectly legitimate tool of warfare. Shri Modi will not spell out why he visited Pakistan. We have voted him in, through a free and fair parliamentary election. We need to give him the time and space he needs, to do his job. Whether he meets Nawaz Sharrif or Barrack Obama should not concern us as long as we are working on our key objective of defeating Islam. Warfare is not won by only bullets and missiles on the battlefield. Much more is needed, deception and psychological operations being a few such tools. Can we at last, armed with the video-recorded evidence of Shri Modi’s 15th August 2016 speech, assure ourselves that Shri Modi is serious about Pakistan? And, finally, can we do some work on our own, to actually further our objective of defeating Islam, of which, defeating Pakistan is one, but not the only, important step? Can we finally move our rear side off the couch, and get to work?

What can we do, to assist in breaking up Pakistan, given that majority of us do not wield weapons, and are not in the Indian armed forces or Indian intelligence agencies? A lot.

Please see the statement made by former Indian foreign minister from UPA era, Salman Khurshid (source: http://zeenews.india.com/news/india/salman-kurshid-differs-with-pm-modi-says-india-should-focus-on-pok-not-meddle-in-balochistan_1919084.html). We fundamentally disagree with Khurshid’s view, but his statement, in one page, provides us with the gist of the arguments India’s pseudo secular fixers will extend, in the coming days, to prove that Shri Modi was wrong in bringing up Balochistan, PoK and Gilgit in his independence-day speech. We Hindus must counter each and every one of these arguments, and defeat India’s pseudo secular backers of Islam and Communism.

Take for example the following statement of Khurshid: “To interfere in Pakistan’s internal matters, no matter how appropriate it may be in terms of human rights, political aspirations of people, it is not our business. If we get involved in Pakistan’s internal matters, it would give them a course to interfere in our internal matters and this would be the worst thing to do for our own country.”

Is Pakistan not interfering in India’s internal matter for the past 69 years? Did they not already occupy Gilgit, Baltistan, Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir? Did they already not reduce the Hindu population to just 1%, by wanton massacre? Did they not force wars upon us already? Did they not massacre millions of Bengalis, in the process pushing in millions of destitute refugees into India? Did they not sponsor Jihad in Kashmir and elsewhere in India for 3 decades now?

Take for example this next pearl of wisdom from Khurshid: “Do we allow the Americans to speak about the atrocities in India, we don’t. Do we speak for any other country, we don’t, There is a sense of restrain that we have to show, when we are dealing with an independent sovereign nation.”

Is America not interfering in India’s internal matter for the past several decades? Did Nixon not threaten India when we were fighting to make Bangladesh free from the oppressing Pakistan regime? Did America not force us to talk to Pakistan even after they themselves went on all-out ‘War Against Terror’, even though we faced exactly the same Jihadist terror? Does USCIRF not interfere in our internal matters, weighing in favouring Church and its conversion agenda? How long will we Hindus remain the proverbial ‘Good boys’?

Further wise nuggets from Khurshid: “Balochistan wants to be independent it is their concern, not India’s.”

Really? So, we Hindus should not look for allies, and continue to be slaughtered by the sword of Islam, which we have been, for 1400 years? We should just submit ourselves in front of the army of PBUH?

Do we Hindus understand that instead of getting worked up by what Modi is doing, or not doing, we have an important role to play, in countering the pseudo secular middlemen in India?

Let us now look at Chief Justice of India T S Thakur, and his overreach. Apparently he will now decide India’s foreign policy.

CJI Thakur

We Hindus have to really stand up to this constant judicial overreach. To my knowledge, no one summarized this ‘tyranny of unelected’ as Shri R Jagannathan did in his Swarajya article (http://swarajyamag.com/politics/india-is-on-its-way-to-establishing-an-unaccountable-higher-judiciary). What role a countries judiciary can have in determining foreign policy? Supreme court is constitutional court. What constitutional impropriety has been caused by Shri Modi acknowledging messages of gratitude from the oppressed people of Balochistan? It is us, the Hindus, who have to find ways to show Supreme court that they are not above constitution.

No discussion about Hindu fight against India’s pseudo secular, corrupt, pliant, Jihad-courting, communism-loving media can be completed without a mention of Sagarika Ghosh.

SagarikaGhose

Did Vietnam wait, first, to resolve all their internal issues and contradictions before responding to American and later Chinese military might? Did Israel first wait to become economically self-sufficient and to develop sound democratic institutions, before they responded to repeated Jihadist aggression? Dear Sagarika Ghose would like us to wait. Well, in the process if a few more million Hindu skulls get added to the over 100 million killed over the past 1400 years, that’s just going to be suppressed in the best tradition of Indian pseudo secular media’s ‘balanced coverage’!

Do not worry about Shri Modi. This man of 66, with a strict vegetarian diet, his Yog regimen, his neck-break schedule and his immense commitment to India, is doing his job. Let’s do ours! Let’s counter India’s leftist/pseudo-secularist/Jihadi/Evangelist lobbies, and their representatives in media, politics and ‘intelligentsia’. Let us reclaim the narrative from them, so that when the brave Indian jawans march into PoK, Gilgit, Baltistan and Balochistan, shoulder-to-shoulder with the local population, to throw the brutal Islamic regime of Pakistan out, they do not have to fight with one hand tied behind themselves!

Hindu Polemical Point of View – part 2

Recently Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi made a statement in an all-party meeting, emphasizing on the fact that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is territory rightfully belonging to India. He also asserted that time has come for Pakistan to answer for the brutality it inflicts on the hapless people of Balochistan. Without saying in so many words, Shri Modi actually bucked the trend of a deep seated Hindu failure. We Hindus have consistently failed to be assertive, we have consistently tried to defend what’s ours, without trying to push the enemies of Sanatana Dharma onto back foot. We seem to be forever resigned to the fate of fighting a rear-guard battle, to save our territory, home, hearth, families, people, culture and faith. On the contrary, Islam, Christianity and Communism remain on the front foot, trying to increasingly cleanse us from our own territory, convert our people, demolish our temples, denigrating our faith, raping our women, brutalizing our children, slaughtering our cattle, and maiming our general population. No wonder then that even in an Independent India, Kashmir valley has been completely cleared of the Pandits, who were forced to leave at gunpoint. Small wonder then that the last Hindu temple in Nagaland was demolished in 2015, in a frenzy generated by Church-sponsored hate mongering. No prize for guessing why Hindus are being driven out from Kairana in Uttar Pradesh, or why Hindu families are afraid to even step out of their home in Kaliachak, West Bengal. We are defending. They are attacking. They have the initiative. They attack at a time and place of their choosing. We react, that too, late.

This cycle of retreat-regroup-rearguard must be broken. It is critically important for us Hindus to reclaim the initiative. Intellectual giants have given the right clarion calls. Koeanraad Elst, in his book ‘Decolonizing Hindu Mind’, calls for breaking the fence of Islam, the fence Islam uses to keep its flock together. Vamsee Juluri, in his book ‘Rearming Hinduism’, calls on each of us to understand what Hinduism represents, and confidently stake our claim that we remain the vibrant hope of the world, with our philosophy of integral and holistic living over the tyranny of exclusivist ideologies such as Jihad or ‘Dictatorship of Proletariat’. Hindol Sengupta, in his book ‘Being Hindu’, exhorts on us to pursue the intelligence that is the hallmark of Sanatana Dharma. Rajiv Malhotra, in his book ‘Being Different’, attempts to turn the gaze on Judeo-Christian paradigm of ‘tolerance’, and asserts that we must stop at nothing less than ‘equal respect’. Anang Pal Malik in all his blogs relentlessly drives home the point that the non-violence which lets our women and children be slaughtered by Jihadists and Communists is not be worshipped as a virtue at all, and at no cost can we afford to lower our guard when facing implacable foes such as Islam, Christianity and Communism. All right calls.

However, we Hindus will never to be able reclaim the initiative only by standing on the shoulders of such giants. While we will have the occasional traitors as Jai Chand had demonstrated, the larger Hindu society must stand up and spread Hinduism. We are not a proselytizing religion. Right? Or wrong? Well, both actually. In so far as proselytizing means “My god is the only agent of heaven, and you will burn in eternal hellfire if you do not follow my religion”, we are not proselytizing. However, we Hindus have taken this to an extreme level, where we have practically stopped spreading the eternal values taught in our Shruti and Smriti. Kids after kids you meet, will sadly surprise you with their complete ignorance of what Hinduism meant for the over 100 million people who gave up their lives over the last 1400 years to defend our faith. Much of our ancient literature has been lost. Late Swami Chinmayananda estimates that out of possibly 280 branches of Upanishads, we have only a little over 10 still surviving. Every day you will come across kids, even adults, especially within the ‘educated’ upwardly mobile class, who have no idea what “Ram Rajya” meant. This is nothing but our own failure, rooted in our own defeatist behaviour and apathy. We do not need to convert people in Russia or USA into Hinduism. (An important point to note at this juncture is that free thinking people in the West has been discovering Sanatana Dharma on their own, for several centuries now. Celebrated leadership guru late Stephen R Covey’s books regarding 7 habits of effective person or the 8th habit from effectiveness to greatness, all point to meaningful selfless action, exactly what has been prescribed in Srimad Bhagvad Gita. Not surprising. He took inspiration from Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau had drawn their own inspiration from Indian texts such as Vendanta.) However, we must speak up and spread the great cultural and philosophical treasures our forefathers had created with so much dedication and care. First, we must learn our Sanatana Dharma, ourselves.

Every criticism that fails to look within and exclusively focuses outside, is bound to be meaningless. Hence, before criticizing any other Hindu, I will now criticize myself. The objective is not to beat myself down. The objective is to be truthful and humble, hoping that we Hindus will individually cause ourselves to rise up.

I ate beef. When I was younger. I am ashamed. The shame has now forced me to shun non-vegetarian food. But till now I have not done anything towards protection of Indian cattle, except of ranting on the Internet.

I took my own ‘Upanayan’ (sacred thread ceremony) lightly, just as a joke. I am ashamed. But, till now I have not done much to spread the word about the importance of such Hindu ceremonies, what impact they can have on one’s inner life, what profound opening to wisdom such ceremonies can provide a seeker with.

It took me 42 years to pick up Srimad Bhagvad Gita, and painstakingly read the Sanskrit verses. Only after reaching 43, I spoke about the enormous intellectual treasure this contains, to even my daughter, who is actually very receptive and respectful. And I complain about kids being ignorant about Hindu culture!

I donated to organizations such as Greenpeace, with my eyes closed, without understanding what havoc they are wrecking in my own homeland. Only after I crossed 41, I understood my folly. This is what happens when we leave the field wide open for Western imperialism, Islam, Communism and Christianity. Even after understanding my folly, I do not spread words about Hindu organizations such as Center for Fundamental Freedom, 5Forty3, Chinmaya Mission etc.

I was nearly 43 when I first read the original Hindi ‘Sri Hanuman Chalisha’ of Goswami Tulasidas. Till date I have not completed ‘Sri Ram Charit Manas’. And I lecture of Hindu culture potentially facing existential crisis!

It took me 43 years in my lifetime to know Gayatri Mantra, which is all of 4 lines! Such is my commitment to my faith, about protection of which I have been ranting on Internet for years!

The point is simple. Do we have a future that is brighter than the current depressing state we are in – brutalized by Islamic/Chsirtian/Communist terrorists, pilloried by English media, legally discriminated against in our own country (we can not run our own educational institutions or temples free from Government meddling, while these same kleptomaniac government steals money from our temples and gives fat Haj subsidy)? The answer is yes, but only if we take our destiny in our own hands, instead of waiting for one Narendra Modi to deliver the goods for Hindu society. Late Swami Chinmayananda, in his commentary on Taittiriya Upanishad, calls on Hindus to become physically, mentally, intellectually and spiritually stronger. He exhorts us to create wealth, carry on the line of progeny, propagates the vast treasures of our rich faith. He was right. Without doing these, we have left the field wide open, for the soul vultures, for the cult of Jihad, for the madness of ‘Dictatorship of Proletariat’. Change we must. Each one of us. Let me start with myself. One Narendra Modi, of 66 years, will not be able to deliver us to our safety.

Hindu Polemical Point of view – Part 1

na-hanyaate

The ferocious assault faced by the Hindu society over the past 1400 years is certainly being met by the Hindus, even if by varying effectiveness, even if requiring significant improvement. The response is mounted on five prongs: military, spiritual, ideological/polemical, financial and political. Millions and millions of brave Hindus have fought over these 1400 years, on or more of these five prongs. My humble respect to all of them. In this series of posts, I will make my humble effort to add to the ideological/polemical effort. I am a small man, and I stand on the shoulders of giants such as late Swamy Chinmayananda, late Swamy Vivekananda, late Rishi Bankimchandra, late Rishi Aurobindo, late Sitaram Goel, late Ram Swaroop, Koenraad Elst, Sandeep Balakrishnan, Anang Pal Malik, Maria Warth, David Frawley, Dr. Mrinal Kanti Debnath, Ayyan Hirsi Ali, Waseem Altaf, Tufail Ahmad,  and many others.

Hinduism is not proselytizing. We are not out there to prove to the Islamists or Christian evangelists that there religions are inferior to that of ours. We believe in ‘Sarva Dharma Samabhava’ – all religions are equal. Hence we will – we should – remain non-proselytizing. What a noble thought!

Really?

Is the Shloka (verse) depicted in this post from Srimad Bhagavad Gita, proclaiming the eternal nature of supreme Self, same as the below mentioned violent verse from Quran?

Quran (2:191-193) – “And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]… but if desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.”

As late Swami Chinmayananda has pointed out, such blatant refusal to face up to facts only confirms the sad defeatist mindset that many Hindus have not developed. As he points out, this is also a confirmation of our overall lethargy, which deeply impacts our intellectual growth. Lack of effort on our part, as evidenced by many Hindus not having read even the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, and most Hindus not having ever read Quran, has dangerously impacted our polemical position, in the long drawn out war against Islam, Christianity and Communism. Such state of affairs must not continue any longer. While Shri Narendra Modi is doing a good work as a Prime Minister, it is futile for the Hindus to think that he can resolve all issues that the Hindu society faces.
What about New Testament? The following are some samples (Source: http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/cruelty/nt_list.html):

Matthew

  • Those who bear bad fruit will be cut down and burned “with unquenchable fire.” 3:10, 12
  • Jesus strongly approves of the law and the prophets. He hasn’t the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament. 5:17
  • Jesus recommends that to avoid sin we cut off our hands and pluck out our eyes. This advice is given immediately after he says that anyone who looks with lust at any women commits adultery. 5:29-30
  • Jesus says that most people will go to hell. 7:13-14
  • Those who fail to bear “good fruit” will be “hewn down, and cast into the fire.” 7:19

2 Thessalonians

  • Jesus will take “vengeance on them that know not God” by burning them forever “in flaming fire.” 1:7-9
  • Jesus will “consume” the wicked “with the spirit of his mouth.” 2:8
  • God will cause us to believe lies so that he can damn our souls to hell. 2:11-12

Stop saying, and believing, that ‘all religions are same’, Hindus! They are not.

“Hindu Bengali refugees from erstwhile East Bengal in denial mode” – Dr. Mrinal Kanti Debnath

This is a translation of a Facebook post, written in Bengali, by Dr. Mrinal Kanti Debnath. All translation related errors are mine only. Although Dr. Debnath has not asked me to translate – he is very wise and could easily do this on his own – I thought that this post should be read by a wider audience. I unfortunately can not wish the readers a ‘Happy reading’. It is not such, by any means. It is a stark eye opener for the Hindus.

Translation of the original post:

Eminent Psychiatrist Sigmund Freud had elaborated on a theory named ‘Defensive Mechanism of Mind’. Denial is one of the tools mind uses, to keep a semblance of mental balance, according to this theory.

Man faces some incidents in life that are exceedingly painful. When the mind can not withstand such pain, it starts denying the entire authenticity of such incidents. In short, this is called ‘Denial’. The effect is disastrous. He who denies the reality and lives in a make-believe world never benefits – this is as true for a society as it is for an individual.

Partition in 1947 had brought the most savagery for West Bengal. This statement is not to negate the history of tremendous suffering the Hindus and Sikhs had to face in Punjab, at least a part of that wound was healed due to a semblance of property exchange. Congress and Communists had prevented this in West Bengal. Even the destitute Hindu refugees from East Bengal were not properly assimilated in any effective manner. Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy (Chief Minister of West Bengal) had planned for a resettlement program in Andaman. However, Jyoti Basu and Nehru had scuttled that, too.

Approximately 35 million Hindus – destitute refugees all – took shelter in the mushrooming colonies next the railway tracks in West Bengal. Approximately 10 million more were sent to the Mana camp of present day Chattisgarh, Nainital of present-day Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

35 million refugee Hindus in West Bengal scattered into all of these places, without any other choice. All familial ties broke down, causing immense pain. Homeless, without any of their rightful property with them, friendless – often these people had to live lives of subhuman existence. Enter Communists. Expert Communist propaganda ‘converted’ many of the young people from this section into becoming fiery ‘revolutionaries’, and mind switched into a denial mode, to obscure the real reason for their humiliating state.

“Nothing happened to us, nothing will happen, we are fine, we will be fine in future too” became the common lazy refrain of these refugees and their progeny. Political parties that held Iftaar parties, encouraged cow slaughter, and practiced Muslim appeasement, became the ‘Messiahs of choice’ for them.

Psychiatry says that man can not live in denial forever. Sense returns one day. When that happens, he sees that everything is lost. The successors of the Hindu Bengali refugees from East Bengal will also one day realize what has happened. The treacherous political parties that they had joined will not stand by them at that time. Sitting in the hell hole created by themselves, they will weep, just as our ancestors had been fooled by Gandhi and Nehru, and had to live life of wretched refugee.
